E63s wheels paint or powder coat ?
I have the factory 19'' spoke wheels in grey but i really wanted black,I also don't like the silver bezel around the rim, some people say to powder coat but I was thinking paint because if you curb rash i think there easier to repair, anyone with some knowledge to this please let me know ,thanks!

Just had my painted, check these guys out they will do whatever you want for $150 a wheel if you drop off in NJ. That price covers paint/PC, repair if needed as well as mounting and balancing!

Paint or powder coat, it doesn't really matter if you curb a wheel because you'll jack the wheel up either way.
I would recommend powder coating. I had my ADV's done at Espo's Powder Coating in Staten Island.

The also did my ADV's on my C63:

For what its worth, anti powder coating people don't like the need to bake the wheels which they claim affects the structural integrity.
Not sure I buy that but I went with paint on my last set.

I have a BMW 535xi I have the cosmetic package for $300 you can fix the wheels up to 7 repairs , I fixed them a few times and there perfect when done , I'm not sure if thery just fix the damaged area then paint / re powder coat , or repair the area and powder coat the entire wheel .

OP - to make you feel better. I did some research into this "don't powdercoat phenom" thing.
1) Every single car forum has at least a handful of posts asking "is it a bad thing?" - NSX forum, subaru forum, porsche etc. like EVERYWHERE. There is always some kind of dissenting opinion that powdercoating will cause your wheel to spontaneously explode.
2) Some porsche guy claimed a BBS rep came in and talked to them and said it weakened wheels by 30% if you powdercoat. There are 0 statistics or facts or tests to prove this.
more circumstantial evidence:

3) Some junky wheel manufacturer (enkei) will void warranties if you powdercoat
4) They have come out with a "low temp powdercoat" recently if you are super worried. Talk to your shop I guess.
Net net - because I can't find any factual evidence of it weakening wheels - I would just do whatever look you like best/is the cheapest.

I did my own mount and balance as well. All they did was powder coat. After all, they are a powder coating shop, not an automotive shop.

Thanks the place that did they are on the ball, they cover mounting, balancing and any repair needed for their price. They also pain the wheel weights in the matching color. They typically have a 2 day turn around. You drop off the wheels and they ready the 48 hours later. They also have lifts so if you just want to leave the car you can come back and just pick it up.

They are really setup up to do all the repair and painting work for all the large dealers in the area...lots and lots of BMW wheels when I was there...but they certainly did not mind dealing with a walk in customer. And they had thousands and thousands of options.
