Steering AMG logo

Is there a replacement to this plastic airbag logo? I've seen some pics with AMG in that place or can it be removed?

I ended up just getting the AMG door pins and decided to live with the steering wheel.

I found detailed directions here

I want to get the pins, but its either the rear or front (can't remember) that require full door panel disassembly

I just got the front ones through the dealer. just turn the old plastic lock pins to unscrew them and screw the new ones on. it takes seconds.

the rear ones though, some people say you can just muscle out the old one and then pop in the the new ones. but most say you can just remove the door card to put it on properly. I didn't bother with the rear ones because i never see them.

My coworker did it with his CLS63 and said it was easy and only took minutes to do.

The front pins where easy As said just screwed them off apply blue loctite screw down until pin is flush when locked , The rears at fist I took the door panel off, there is a small ball end on the cable after you take the pin off that someone said just snaps on but this didn't work for me , I reinstalled the door panel , The proper way and easy way to do it is , take pliers with rag around the rear pin , and pull straight up with force the pin will pop off , the dealer sells a ca glue for this but I used 5 min clear epoxy and it was so easy , mix your epoxy well then take chop stick and drip 1 drop of epoxy to bottom of pin , then hold your finger on the lock button up to hold pin in place when you push down , position Amg logo reading inside car let it set and your done , I used epoxy because it is very thick , I didn't want to use a thin glue I was afraid it would run down into the cable

you have to disconnect the battery and remove the airbag. Slots/screws on back surface of airbag.
