As Geno mentioned my post 91 EC box tune numbers were 581rwp and 722rwtq (around 65/130 over baseline) but there were some issues. They didn't use dyno mode and the ecu threw codes and my intake tubes got sucked into the air box. My traps were 121-122mph on that tune. I recently had EC flash their newer tune and my traps went up to 127 (we're on one of the country's slower tracks so please people, don't tell me that's slow for a tuned car). No new dyno numbers but you can do the math and estimate the gains.

Geno's car with a custom tune will easily be well over my initial numbers and should beat my new tune.

I'm curious to see the numbers as well. I haven't heard of many guys going custom tune within the Mercedes world.

the EC stage 1 tune is weak sauce. Geno car in stock form was already doing better.

The stage 2 tune from EC is day and night difference in power.

It was conservative and although we had the same mph that tune still was a bit quicker than Geno's car by 2 tenths at the track. My new tune gained the missing mph but made it more difficult to launch on street tires. Geno's custom tune will likely put him out front!

Well they got done sooner then I thought that they would.

And I am impressed to say the least.......


This morning they did another baseline in cooler air so these numbers went up just a little bit.

So to make it fair the pre tune numbers are

549.33whp and 606.74 wtq

Tuned numbers are 646.61 whp and 775.46wtq

Hes emailing me the dyno sheet right now and I will post it up

i remember reading the car that did 10.6/133 on stock turbos w/tune, dp and meth was at 670 whp so if you add some meth you would probably be there or more

Even with correction factors I don't like comparing different dynos and I doubt we'll see any stage 2 10 second E63s on our tracks. But this is on a 91 tune so these numbers are very impressive!

I know you didn't, I was just throwing it out there that it sucks that we can't compete for track times. If he was tuned for meth, I could easily see him picking up more than the 24hp needed to top that number.

My meth kit is in a box in my trunk for two reasons. 1, I hate that it has to be mounted pre intercooler and 2, it's too difficult to have it tuned since no one is local. This is a game changer for AZ.

i was breaking traction on the dyno spinning the rollers on 255 square winter setup. Could of pushed a little more with full traction they said.

Impressive Numbers! Tell the shop to do some smoothing on the dyno chart in the Winpep software, you usually dont see zero smoothing graphs.

Mine came in right at 2k but he has not figured if he was going to stay in that range or not. Car feels like an absolute beast. Just got back from Phoenix and its like a new car. Can't wait to do my next test and that will be 100 octane tune

I tried to get a Dyno tune from Eurocharged last week (they are local) and the lady who answered the phone basically told me there would be no difference between my box Rentech tune and a Eurocharged dyno tune I gave up lol
