2014 E63s amg 4matic, 2009 C63, 2006 E55 AMG , 2001.5 AUDI S4 stg 3+ w/meth
so far they perform a little better than stock (these have a little more initial bite) and way less dust (main reason i bought them)
and yeah process is same on M156 as i did them on my C63 as well when i had it
same process on e55 too, except with addition of having to unplug the SBC unit on them

This was great- thanks!! Watch out when pulling the censors out on passenger side as they break easily. Also the right rear top pin is hard to get in because the wiring harness in the way so can't hammer in like the others - anyone have a tip there?

Remove the bolt holding the harness (13 or 14mm may be a standard size near that, can't remember ), you will have all the space you need

Debating these for my CLS...

Just did the rear pads on my '13 CLS63. Piece of cake. Hammer out the pins and be careful with the sensor on the passenger side. I was tempted to just tie off the sensor as it's really just a dummy alert to someone who regularly changes their pads, but I reinstalled it anyways, since I managed not to break the head.
I had planned to do the fronts as well, but it turns out that there's a fair amount of meat left on them despite the low measurement that the dealer indicated on a service about 4 months ago. Must've been a measurement error as the fronts look almost new.

Solid choice. Let us know how rear bite is (especially at higher speeds) and the dust output. If only Pagid or Akebono would make front pads!

Measurement error at dealer.. I know u know how expensive front amg pads are..I'm surprised they didn't tell you you had no pad material left... I know I fell for their mis measurements

Sixty miles on Centric Posi-Quiet Metallic pads all around.
Brakes are much more linear and bite feels about the same.
Brake dust is gray and I think there is less of it.
When I switched to Akebono on my S55 I noticed right away how much harder the pads were. These not so much.
My main goal is much less brake dust. I will report back later this week and give a thumbs up or down.

I would like to try Racing Brake pads I heard there good
The RADO pads might be the best but 900 bucks is a little steep
What other pads you guys running with low dust and good results ?

Just wanted to quickly say "thank you" to the OP. I watched a few videos online plus used these instructions and the pad change went really smoothly. I got the pads from FCP Euro so time to test out that unlimited warranty
Few thoughts from someone who hasn't done brakes since college:
1) Just buy more parking sensors. I cheaped out and figured I could reuse. One of mine was just starting to get worn and the other I snapped trying to remove it. Save the frustration (and for me drive to the dealership). Heck, buy the part on FCP Euro so you never have to buy it again
2) There are no bolts in the rear brakes to hammer out...just the pins. That surprised me. You have to REALLY push the pistons back in so that the retaining clip goes back in place though. Don't be shy there.
3) The 13mm bolts in the front brakes were really frozen. unscrew the bolt a little bit and use the hammer for sure. Great tip
4) Probably worth cleaning and greasing the pins before you put them back in.
Time for me including trip to the dealer was 2 hours. It's really not a very hard job.
