Well that was short lived. Deciding to not keep the BBS CI-Rs as sexy as they are, not quite the look I'm going for.

Having purchased the car without a front plate holder, I wasn't going to go and screw a new one on to the bumper. So I purchased a RHO V2 plate holder. The quality of the holder is great, just didn't like how exposed the hole was with the plate ideally positioned.
So so I purchased a second tow hook cap and modified it so the bar would just stick through. A little bristol board, sharpie and dremel and was able to keep most of the tabs and cap sits securely.
Currently the plate isn't at its lowest setting and can move it down now without having a larger gap.
Off to paint match now.
Don't pay attention to the bug covered bumper.

MBWorld Fanatic!
that's a great idea! what's the part number and how much does the tow hook cover cost? I have the same plate holder and it was bugging me too!
I actually used the set of mounts on the very edge of the plate holder myself but at the same height.

This doesn't mess with your parking sensors??? I have a 2012 with sensors and I didn't get it because their site specifically says not for use with cars with parking sensors and my sensors are sensitive as hell... would suck to spend a $120 on something only for it not to work for me...

Clean workmanship, but why go through all that trouble and end up with an off center plate at the end? I know we don't want to drill holes in our bumper, but to me, the offset plate is worse.

I guess it's just a matter of ones personal preference. The offset doesn't bother me at all. I also like the fact I can take it off fairly quickly and take photos without a plate at all on the front if I choose. This to me is a much better solution than a permanently affixed center mount.

New wheels and suspension installed yesterday.
KW HAS currently sitting at ~66 cm FTG at all corners in s/s+.
BBS LM-R in 19x8.5" ET38 plus 10 mm PFS spacers with 255/35R19 and 19x9.5" ET38 with 285/35R19.
Thrilled how it turned out, but not so much with it being bug season and no time for a wash before snapping. They're my friends now.
