is your new set PSS or PS4S? I went PSS -> Conti EC Sport -> PS4S and the PS4S has more grip in all dry situations but is a lot more edgy at the limit and more likely to wheel hop etc. the PSS was skatey as heck below 45 degrees though it never killed me, the Conti was friendly all the time in all situations. The PS4s breakaway seems much more abrupt in the wet, but grip seems comparable to the Conti (whereas wet traction on the Conti was much better than PSS)
Also, why couldnt they just call the PS4S the pss2
I will expand on the cold weather traction. PSS grips off the line much better than the Conti but on lateral grip, it is definitely edgier in the cold! However I have driven the Conti in 20degree wet and not felt like I would spinout. Not so sure about how the PSS will fare

If anyone is looking for a terrific max performance summer tire, take a good look at the brand new Continental ExtremeContact Sport. I just installed a set and they are simply amazing on the W212. The wet and dry performance is excellent, but what makes them so impressive is that they are so smooth and quiet. On coarse pavement, they mute road noise better than any tire I've had on a Benz in years.
