2015 E63S
2015 E63S

I hope that you guys can help me: I have a 2015 E63S that I am thinking about selling, but I am having a tough time finding any reliable resale numbers. I realize that there are a limited number of these vehicles out there and data is hard to come by, but any help or resources would be greatly appreciated.

The car is fully loaded with every option and is in immaculate condition. It has 20K miles and I just had the 20K service completed.

I went to a couple of dealers to see what the car might be worth to them and was surprised to hear the Mercedes dealer that I bought the car from give me an estimate that was substantially lower than what a local Ford dealer would offer. I think a private sale is the best way for me to get this in the hands of someone who will appreciate it, and still allow both parties to feel like they didn't get hosed. As soon as I get a sense for some pricing parameters, I will post the car here.

Any constructive advise is appreciated.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
And Distronic?. If all that you can probably ask around 85K, otherwise around 75K or so if you really want to sell it soon.

2015 E63S
it does have distronic and does not have rear entertainment. sound system is harmon kardon
it does have the full carbon fiber which was a crazy upcharge and the design dinamica headliner.

thanks much for the feedback

Realistically private party you'd be looking at 70-75K, dealer 65-70K.

I appreciate the insight. Now that I know a little more, I really want to avoid having to go back to the dealers. Once I get some pictures taken I will post the add on here and see what kind of interest I get.

Good luck with the sale. I'll offer one piece of advice, don't make a claim that the car is fully-loaded as it is not. Rather, simply list the options that it has. For me, if someone lists an E63 as fully-loaded and then I find out it does not have CCBs, B&O, rear entertainment etc., it immediately leaves a bad impression about the seller.

Auction results will give a better picture of where you are. FWIW, I passed on a Black/Black 2015 E63S sedan (no pano, no B&O, no CCB) offered at an independent dealer. Car had just 5k miles and was listed at $75k - that was 6 months ago.

I think a trade would be low 60s for your 2015 with 20k miles. GLWS!

These are all excellent points. I was making the mistake of equating well-loaded with fully-loaded and while the car has most options, it doesn't have everything. Ceramic brakes, B&O and rear entertainment are the items that it doesn't have.

I never really took full advantage of all of this car's capabilities while I have owned it, but its still a blast to drive.

These are really terrific vehicles and my only regret is that I probably should have bought a well-maintained used one from a site like this rather than pay much more for a new car from a dealer that is trying hard to make money from me twice on the same vehicle.

I hear you there, owning these cars are not for the faint of heart, you buy a new one and you loose big bucks on deprecation, you buy an older one and when it goes out of warrantee you loose big bucks on repairs.

thanks for the advice - I just posted it in the for sale section with an asking price of $73K. Something close to that will be a little better than what the dealer had offered in trade.

The ad could use better pictures, just an opinion.

Good advice. I am a pretty lousy photographer. I thought I did pretty well keeping my fingers out of the shots...

GLWS - it all depends on the car - i was lucky and paid $71K (took my low offer) for my 14 E63S (Feb '17) wagon with 27K with similar options to your car. My car had also had goodies added, which doesn't help the sale, but its what i wanted to do to the car anyways.
