Rado Brake Pads

My 2014 E63S was due for new pads, so I decided to take the plunge and try out the Rado pads that are claimed to be dust free. I must say that pad changes on our cars are incredibly simple. The fronts are held in by one bolt and 2 pins, and the rears by 2 pins. The whole exercise took about an hour from start to finish.

After bedding in the pads, they seem to have similar bite to the stock pads and no squeaking. I only drove about 30 miles, so can't comment on how much dust they produce, however, my rims were still clean after bedding the pads. I should know in the next few days, as I found the stock pads soiled my rims within a few days.

Curious to know how the bite is in cold climates. I've not had much success moving to low dust pads since spring and fall wet weather would make certain pads dangerous with how slowly they responded.

So I have now driven about 200 city miles on the rado pads. With my stock pads, my rims would be filthy with dust. To my pleasant surprise, they are very clean (see attached pics of rim, before wiping it, and a rag after I wiped the entire wheel). The performance of these pads are fine, however I don't track this car, so can't comment on how they would perform in extreme conditions. For street driving, they are great.

In short, I highly recommend these for anybody that wants low dust pads, despite them being pricey.

subscribing - would love to hear more real world performance feedback on these Rados - specifically wagons. Bonus points if anyone has tracked these (nothing crazy, Track Night in America level stuff).

BTW, these are just Project Mu Euro Eco pads sold by Rado.

They're fine pads, never been a huge fan of Project Mu. My next set will be Stoptech, probably the sport touring pads.

I don't have the Part # for Rado pads but can recommend the Powerstop low dust pads from Rock Auto.
I had the rears shipped to the UK and they perform well with very little dust compared to OEM.

These are the ones I got. Excellent service from Rock Auto as well.

They stock the same pad for the front as well although I have no experience of how good they are.

yah for sure. I bought new rotors as well so definitely curious... do the front calipers hold 2 pads each or 4 each. On my order I got total of 4 assuming 2 per side??

Yeah, only 2 pads per caliper on the W212, unlike the 55's that have 4 per caliper.
