Tablets have to be taken and stored out of the heat and cold.... charged or plugged in.... and forces the kids to yet again be reliant and glued to their tablets ...
rear ent is still awesome ... we love it in our SUV

I am curious if it is a "teen" thing...but when we offer the rear entertainment to my 13 year old she politely declines saying she has all her movies/videos/games etc on her iPad and iPhone.Originally Posted by PeterUbers

Agreed for most cases. My kids are a fair bit younger - no smartphones (yet!)Originally Posted by TMC M5

The system in my wagon is used often. There is a six disc changer in the dash and a separate additional player between the rear seats. Remote controls and three Bluetooth headphones keep the troops happy in the back....they can even watch different dvds so they're not forced to watch the same movie.
Recently, we completed an 11-day, four state 1200 mile vacation.
Pure, unadulterated bliss!

Man, this dealer has got to be in a hurry to dump that wagon before the new ones come in.
Then again, I assume the MY18 wagons will be special order only so I guess you're saying 20-30k off and immediate gratification vs waiting.

My kids stopped using RSE in my wife's SUV... it's really an age thing. If you have little kids, RSE is a must-have. I paid $5k for killer set-up by AI Design in my '07 V70R when kids were small, but wouldn't spend the money now.Originally Posted by PeterUbers

+1. Had this in an Acadia we leased back in 2008 when our kids were ~5, but even now, if I had young kids, it's far more efficient, and much cheaper, to have iPads and download what they want. If your kids aren't yet iPad-savvy, then buy a portable DVD player for cheap, because soon enough they WILL be savvy. I would go so far as to argue that RSE is almost a turnoff now in the used car market as an unnecessary option that clutters the car, particularly those cars with RSE against the back headrests. When's the last time you bought a DVD?Originally Posted by 24Hours

Back on topic.....has anyone actually seen this car formally listed somewhere? It's not on their website and I can't get hits on the VIN.
