Correct. There is no wear sensor for the rear parking brake shoes. They wear at a very slow rate because they're not used to slow the vehicle, ergo there's no friction to wear them unless one drives with the parking brake on. In that event, the car has a pretty annoying alarm to indicate the brake is still engaged.
