E63 eurocharged catless tune update 629awhp 728tq

You
Finally found time to get this updated. Put down a peak of 628.awhp 728.awtq. Car feels amazing!! I’m content with these upgrades. And to show that you don’t need to purchase full turbo back catless downpipes to make good power that holds. Plus a proven meth injection location that is showing real world gains without using huge nozzles . K&n filter, pre water meth injection using 175ml nozzles, stock exhaust with gutted cats, and a eurocharged retune. I am not tuned for the water meth. First and second run is without meth , 3rd run is with meth that way I can show gain even after 2 back to back pulls when the engine is hot, you can clearly see the green bar holding more power longer and at some points 25-35hp more and even at the very end 15hp more.. also I tried a 4th gear pull and peaked at 634awhp but then one of the straps moved and we cut it short, but in 4th gear tq reads lower

side note,, will be purchasing a upd light weight crank pulley and will hit the dyno for real world gains, I’ve b en using the same exact dyno . Trying to duplicate everything from tcu reset to exact oil temp. Hopefully this gives everyone real proof on what works and what does not. Will also be testing what light weight rotors plus lighter tires will help gain. I plan on reducing 5lb per rear tire 3 lb per front tire. Combined with the giro disc rotor I will be shedding 12lb per front corner and 14lb per rear corner with a total of 52lb of unsprung weight removed. Maybe it will help our 60ft time or maybe not but I will dyno every mod.

Remind me, you’re spraying pre turbo correct? Did you tune for the meth?

no I did not tune, it’s for cooling purposes only but seems to be giving me gain as well. Which is a huge plus.. I have it for consistency

You
Wanted to also post what the meth true benefits at higher rev range will do. As you see most power drops off early going from 630 hp all the way down to aslow as low as 500hp . Did a 4th gear pull and was able to hit 634 awhp @6760rpm which is fantastic , ofcourse tq is gonna drop but was still up there considerably 546@5760rpm and car was on its 5th pull. Also shows how the higher gear doesn’t net as much peak tq, so 3rd gear is the best gear for pulls and peak power

Can you post a picture of your nozzle locations?

Seems to be atomizing perfect from this location. Usually it needs to be right up on the blades or far enough back to atomize. . I’m using a 90/10 mix with no pooling as the higher meth content flashes quick, it’s chamginh my compressor map to act as if I have slightly bigger turbos that are running efficiently

Awesome, thanks. I’d love to see some IAT data logs through the 1/4mile, both on and off the meth.

Yes me as well, I will invest in a data logger scan tool. I would want to see what my temps are before they enter the intercooler but after the turbo compressor. So I’m going to fab up something, so that I can stick a separate IAT sensor in and read the temps to see how well the meth is quenching/absorbing the heat. plus test my limits and see how much I can add until it stops having an affect, then see what the temps are after the compressed air exists the intercooler to see how much heat the intercooler is removing based on what the temps are before it enters the intercooler. That way I can work on our stock intercooler and figure out what it needs in order to become more efficient on a consistent level. Could be bigger expansion tank , bigger pump that moves more gph, or if our stock heat exchangers are no longer efficient after a tune where boost pressure is upped. But as of now I’m running very consistent and I have yet to change my original spark plugs and have them gapped down. I’ll make sure to do plugs on my next dyno run

Nice work

I think a rear tank will help / increase the total capacity of the system.
