Power and aerodynamics are two different things. I would try to find out if there is alot less down force going over the back of your car before you really push it that much further. I think having a "bubble top"( I just made that up) allows air to push down on the trunk, as it goes over the roof of a traditional coupe or sedan which helps to keep the back end planted. The flat roof to the back end of your car might give lift as the car pulls away from the air it passes. Be safe, make sure you have plenty of open pavement it gets used up quickly. At a rate of 180MPH you are doing 3 miles per minute or 1/2 mile in 10 seconds. I'll admit, it is a rush. LOL

Just did the Mojave mile or otherwise known as the magnum mile which is 1.5 miles standing start, The most I was able to get with Ray starred was 181.00 in a mile and a half. Car was completely planted at that speed, did not make the 200 mph I was hoping. But I do think I beat most of the Corvettes andAnd some of the other guys. A lot of comments about a grocery getter are going 181 miles an hour. Sure would like to make 200, not sure how to do it or what to do with t and some of the other guys. A tune and exhaust should get you there ... you need to get that mph a lot quicker to make time to get to 200mph....

sorry didnt mean to be captain obvious there ... lol

I've had the stationdragon at 192mph, and it seemed like it had some room to go, but I ran out of safe space to keep going.

Road should be very smooth.
Suspension should be in Sport Plus. Bumps make the car want to fly and the suspension bouncing is scary at those speeds. Smoother the road the better. Tighter the suspension the better.
Tires pressure should be 48-50psi.
Pray that you do not blow a tire. Tires rated (Y), not Y would be needed.

I say don't do it. It doesn't feel good in an E63.

If you are looking to hit 200 in 1.5 miles, I think you may need to go with aftermarket turbos. I'm not sure what type of torque you are making, but it seems the real thing needed is lots of torque to keep pushing at higher speeds, besides horsepower. For me, I was barely able to do it with stock turbos and catless downpipes. As mentioned above, tire pressure needs to be up there to keep the car planted. If you can lower the car and have it properly aligned, that will be a plus, along with taping off the front of the car. See the 2 links below. It takes much more distance for these cars to get to 200, but it gives you an idea that even though the Demon has more power the SL has more torque helping to give it a higher top speed. Obviously the SL also has much better aerodynamics too, but not sure if that is all. I've seen lighter quicker cars than mine run slower up top when it came time to keep going. If you look around the for more videos, at this same event, the SL did 185 MPH in the mile. So if you are doing 180ish in the 1.5 mile you have a long way to go. Otherwise you need to find a longer event.
