Mike got back to me yesterday with part numbers for a "plug and play" solution. Apparently the S212 E63S uses the same CCB as the AMG GTR as the steel brake retrofit part number for our front rotors is the same, A1-207 ($1750 for the pair). Not sure where the rear rotors are coming from, but that part number is A2-240 ($1650 for the pair)

I just got back from a long fun drive and have to say that the CCB’s are my favorite part about my car. They are just absolutely sensational for such a big heavy car. Phenomenal feel, outstanding performance, and they seem to get better the harder you push them. It’s good to know that there is a steel version if/when they need replacement, but man that will be a sad day for us who have had the pleasure of CCB’s.

I have had my ccbs on since purchased and my FR rotor has failed - big crater in the face of the disc @ 97k miles. I've driven them hard (really hard) but never tracked. Listing the miles for folks' context on how long they'll last. I'm sure some may last longer; some shorter.

At this point I am going to downgrade to the steel rotors and calipers. I have weighed the option for purchasing GiroDiscs and/or Racing Brake converison kits (at length) and am going to go OE Mercedes.

If any of the folks who have actually done this (or have upgraded to ccb and have context), can you let me know if I'm missing anything in terms of parts I'll need to buy? I currently have the below on my list:
- Calipers
(are there separate caliper brackets I need?)
- Pads
- Rotors
- Splash Shields x2 (fronts only)

Anything else

Thanks all

Appreciate the insight and linked vid, Kal144. Watched a few mins of vid and it says they're going to reuse the same calipers...I am looking for insight on what I'll need to swap my gold calipers for the red ones... (let me know if I'm missing something here thx).

Great video and info.

@richpsu DM me, I'm interested in converting to CCB on my W213 which has the red setup but I don't think we can to a full swap if you don't also have a W213.
