I am new to the MB world and am looking for a car. While I am currently thinking that my favorite car is a CLS55 for sale on this board (unfortunately it is 2,200 miles away), this E63 popped up on the local craigslist market. I have tried to contact the owner twice with no response. I am nervous about this car because, it needs repairs that the current owner has not done, which makes me concerned about other areas of neglect or undeclared issues.

Anybody know anything?

Walk away, unless you have deep pockets. The car has a lot of mods that decrease its value and the suspension has not been fixed (red flag).

For the ad alone, I'd walk away. Who posts a blurry pic and thinks to themselves "yup, that's a good pic"?

If you like the car and the mods then you need to see it in person. Detail all that is wrong and what it will cost to fix. Then you can walk away, if not you are always going to wonder. what if.
