Black Wheel and Exhaust Tip Detailing Tips

I tried a few things for both restoring my 10 spoke black wheel and the chrome exhaust tips. Over this last weekend I finally found the best solutions:
Wheels,
Meticulous Matte Cleaner from the Chemical Guys. I was stunned how well this stuff worked. It took about 3 years off the age of the wheels. Use it with a MF cloth and you will see.
Exhaust Tips,
I've been using a paste stuff with a bristle brush and hose for the last few years that cleans about 60% of the carbon off of the tips. (forgot the name of it). BUT, the stubborn remaining 40% came off nicely with good old fashion Mothers wheel Cream!
Just thought I would share. Give these a try and you will not be disappointed!
Cheers

I use this for the exhaust tips. Love it and was easy to use. You can get it off Amazon.

So when you say ceramic coating I am guessing you are simply having them black anodized. Black ano is indeed a form of ceramic Al2O3. Curious how long you have actually used these wheels since this was done. Reason being that black ano is famous for turning purple from uv exposure over time which our exteriors see a lot of.
Can you give more details on this process? Cost and such?
Thanks

As for cost / wheel you'd have to dig around your area for a detailing shop that does ceramic pro coatings. When I had my wheels done I also had my whole car done along with other things so I'm not exactly sure how much the wheels alone were.
As for yellowing -- as you can see it is advertised to be "yellow discoloration proof" and to back that up I've had this done for well over a year now and the wheels still look mint. I'll snap an up to date picture in the next couple days and throw it up here.
I now always get every new car coated, including all the exterior surfaces (glass, headlights, taillights, etc can be coated), wheels, calipers, etc
A good detailer charges about $1,000, and it’ll be more if the paint clear coat needs correction
i just had my ‘16 paint corrected and coated last week, looks better than new!
