Stoptech brake pad review

Just wanted to post a quick review about StopTech brake pads..................Wanted what everyone else wants...less brake dust. After talking to a StopTech rep ( they actually answer the phone ) I chose the StopTech "Street pads" part #308.12910 for my '12 E63. I have used StopTech before and was super happy with them on '03 RS6 but wanted to be sure as to fitment as they have changed there lineup slightly. These are everything they promised. About a 80% reduction in dust and bite as good or slightly better than the OEMs. I especially like how they treat the rotors, the best I have experienced and I'm picky. This is a true high performance street fade resistant pad. I chose it over the "Sport pads" part # 309.12910 as those are are more of a street/track pads with higher fade resistance hot but not the initial cold bite ( although still good ) As I don't track the car the cold bite was more important to me The price was about $75.

I hope this helps out fellow forum members. Be safe.

Thanks for the info, I have brake change in my future. Would also like less dust if I can manage it.

They still don't seem to have a rear pad option to match, so what are you using as a rear?

Thanks for the review. Looking for less brake dust without sacrificing performance and that’s a great price for pads. Are those fronts you ordered?

Brake dust isn't a new thing to Mercedes, I would think they would have been able to come up with a better OEM pad by now.
