Best tune for the buck

Oooo! This is a loaded question :-) And I've heard horror stories about every tuner on here and great success stories as well. Some people swear by one brand and shame others without having actual evidence. I myself have a Eurocharged Stage 2 Catless tune. If you really want solid power for a good price they are always a good option. I have seen RaceIQs tune in person and driven it. It felt good but then I ran it against my Eurocharged car and it definitely didn't pull as hard, this particular car also changed to an EC tune and walked away from me since he had cat deletes and I did not. I've also heard the Piggyback from Tuning Box ($700) produces good results on the track. A guy in a CLS63 ran ~11.1 with it, the post is a few pages back. I'm not sure I actually trust those boxes as far as longevity but those are performance results. Also have seen the videos from AMS (to justify their cost) so I can't really argue with that. The sad thing about our platform is not being able to truly custom tune because of the ECU removal so, kind of makes it hard for comparison purposes.

I have a RaceIQ tune stage 1. I am very happy with it. I have been running it for about six months with zero issues. Do you want to reliability or just raw horsepower? Anybody can crank up the boost and make power. But like CerBErusM113 said as many good write ups you can find you can also find horror stories to go with them. RaceIQ was running a special when i got it tuned and it was the cheapest i had seen it.

Plus, I think a lot of guys are scared off from AMS due to the retail pricing they see on the website. Here's a hint: Be savvy and work with them up front. Offer them things like a positive review on the forum. Get formal estimates from their competitors. I know first hand that they will match certain other high end tuner bids. You will be a bit surprised at the cost in the end. And the cost is well worth what you get!
Good Luck
