Distronic+ Aftermarket Install

I can't even imagine the rabbit hole you'd go down on the electronics and coding side. Maybe it's as easy as installing the radar, hooking it up to an existing connector on the harness, and setting some options in DAS but I doubt it...
I'd love to add power folding side view mirrors which was not an option in the USA in 2014 but I haven't seen an easy DIY to get it integrated the same as from the factory.

FWIW, my car has distronic but it is only really helpful maybe a 25% of the time. 75% of the time it lays back too far, even with the closest following distance set on the stalk, which leads everyone to think you are inviting them to cut in front of you, which in turn causes the car to brake, sometimes annoyingly hard to you and everyone else, because the "distance" it sees was cut suddenly.

Ive looked into this and there are so many control units together with bits you have to replace as they do not cover Distronic, let alone the new windscreen to accept the dual camera setup and all the coding of all the components.

Go drive one with DTR+ fitted and see if you are really missing out.
As others have pointed out it gets too easily fooled in even light to moderate traffic on multi lane roads. I found you had to often override it by applying throttle. Or forget that you had it on only to discover you had locked in to a slower moving car in front and not realised it. Tried it for a bit when I first got the car, but rarely use it now.

After reading your replies I知 kind of over it now lol. The reason I知 not getting a car with the option is because I found a car modded to my taste with the perfect spec and trims. All it was missing was that Distronic Plus and the 360 Degree View Cameras. I知 not going to bother, it値l probably be painful to install and crazy expensive with dealer prices.

Oh man, but you totally want the 360 camera. I use it every time I pull into a space to make sure I don't hit the parking stop.
