Hey guys, just wondering what mode do you guys use most around town and normal driving.

I find myself leaving it in S so the trans starts in first in traffic as not to put strain and wear on the MCT in stop and go traffic.
C in traffic starts in 2nd gear and i feel is not the best for stop and go traffic.

Comfort for local duty and with passengers. S or S+ for highway or when driving alone.

S+ and S for suspension is set in memory, it's the first button I push after I start the car.

What i love about S mode is that it starts in first, of course, and gives me great throttle response and when cruising and chilling on the highway it finds the tallest gear to cruise in

I always wished there was a C+ mode that started C in first while keeping all the C features

My AMG button is set for S. I use this in the mornings and go easy until warmed up. Usually when I get to 160+ degrees I switch to S+. The wife is ONLY ALLOWED TO DRIVE IN C !!! LOL This is in large part due to the tune. C is manageable for her. The others by her own admission are a bit scary to her! Gotta love that.

90% of the time I drive in "C" (I'm 71 years old!). "S" is for cool days (I'm in AZ) and when I just want to have some fun. "S+" is reserved for times when a Mustang, Camaro, Vette, etc. pulls up along side me at a stoplight (I just want to be prepared!)

Is it in S+ that this trans can downshift two gears at a time? (At WOT)

C for highway
S+ for everything else. I call S+ the @sshole mode, because it literally transforms me into an @sshole driver

C with a feather throttle with passengers to avoid them asking wtf is wrong with my top of the line E class.

S+ all other times using the paddles because it’s a sloppy mess if I let it try to short shift on its own.

Interesting you say that, i was reading MB press release on these cars and they mention how trans mode S and S+ make the throttle more sensitive compared to C..

Gonna try playing with S this weekend, S+ seemed a lil too agressive for me in traffic and such. S felt good, and it starts in first, should be good in traffic and the clutches.

Great input, keep em coming guys.
