Getting hot at idle

Hey guys. I have a 2010 E63 with 127,000 miles. I have recently noticed an issue where when I sit at a red light or otherwise let the car idle (after the car as initially warmed up) that the oil temperature slowly creeps up - coolant stays the same temperature though. This happens after idling for only 3-5 minutes and I have never noticed the issue before. Usually the car sits dead at 212 unless I am starting to get on it but it has been getting to the high 220's and at times 230+ from just idling!

What's the outdoor temp when this is happening?

it should not do that even after spirited driving in the dead hot summer....

however the cooling on my M157 is better than your m156 based on several improvements from benz over the years

is your coolant level ok?
is the engine fan activating?

I live in Connecticut and never had any issues over the summer when driving in bumper to bumper traffic in 90+ degrees. Today was about 45.

Just got home and waiting for the car to cool down and then I will check coolant. From a quick glance though it doesn't seems to be puking any coolant but its hard to tell its level without opening.
The fan is activating and seems to be running fine.
