Early service alerts in multifunction display
What triggers a service warning? My 2014 E63S wants an A5 (50k) service at about 47.5. Its been dropping by 200 miles a week, started at 1500 a couple weeks ago. Thx.

I think those are all presets, meaning user changeable intervals. And i believe you can set the mileage and time reminders, and yours might be going off because X amount of time passed.

I keep my own records of services and ignore the messages, just reset them and move on.

I'll check that option thank you. I was concerned that perhaps a degradation in the oil or particulate matter picked up by the sensors is what caused it.

I wish. There is no fluid degradation sensor or anything, it’s simply a mileage/time reminder.

Ik. I called the dealer and they said that there is a particulate sensor in the sump. They're recommending that I have it serviced according to the display instead of waiting until 49 or 50k. Also, there is no way to change this particular Assyst Plus setting, that I can find.
