New Battery installed car wont start.

2010 Mercedes e63
87k Miles

I installed a new battery on my car 2 days ago. Everything was fine, ran normal. 120 miles later it starts acting strange by the center console turning off, navigation screen off and bright red on the dash with an icon of a battery. Car still ran fine no loss of power, ran strong. Turned off the car to restart it and it wont turn on. Tried jumping it and it wont start.

Battery i used was from the dealership and supposed to be the correct battery.

any ideas what could be wrong? Thank you for your help and time

This might sound crazy, but try pulling the start button out and using your key instead. I have had my car a couple of times act like a dead battery when it was a keyless entry issue. Can't hurt to give it a try.

Good Luck

Can you put a voltmeter to the battery terminals

probably your alternator - how many miles on your car? Seems MB alternator go out at 100k miles or so and you can have them rebuilt (brushes, bearnings etc) for about 150 bucks instead of buying a new one from MB which costs like 700 bucks.
