Don't mind at all. $1500 after a 10% discount.

Thanks, Peter. I guess considering that there were a couple of posts where they had to change out $2800 head lamps, this pales by comparison.
I am not entirely sold on how the modules just "went" and how there were "chaffed" wires... all of it unfolding just coincidentally after I simply turned the headlights off and on... on a car that barely has 30K.
BTW, since you bought new and raised the question of extended warranty... do you have the mechanical breakdown coverage from your auto insurance company? It'd cover this sorta thing up to 7 yrs/ 100k for not much money. Just FYI.

i have Allstate and they wouldn't insure an amg for mechanical breakdown last time I checked ... not sure if that has changed, also geico wouldn't either ... did your insurance company cover you??

I have geico. However, I didn't buy this car new or under 15K. Not available for me. I just looked into it after I sent my car into the dealers. I had remembered I asked my wife to call up Geico and cancelling such coverage on her lease.

Do you know the total hours worked on your car? How long was your car out for?

They held my car from Tuesday (7 am) to Friday (5pm). The labor was $980.95 Rest was parts and taxes minus a 10% discount for, I guess, "sorry, it sucks to be you right now, but not sorry"
