Cracking noise in car with pano roof

How to get rid of that annoying noise it's to the point where its consistantly all the time car is 2014 e63s

Drop the headliner, take the bolts out, apply blue loctite and put everything back together. This video isn't the greatest but it's what I used to fix mine.

Widely-known problem. If you're still under warranty the dealer will do it. You can break all sorts of things dropping the headliner...

EXACTLY what he said! I had it done by the dealer on my 2011 and will soon enough need it on my 2015. My SA said its covered under my MB ELW. And that is good until 2022.

I remember when they did it it on my 2011 that they were delayed a couple of days awaiting replacement plastic pieces that broke when they dropped the headliner. And they do it all the time. If you are out of warranty and want to DIY, be prepared to buy the plactic snaps that break. They are inexpensive, but if you order a few ahead of doing the job, you wont face an unexpected delay.
