Block heater for M157?

Anyone have advice on installing a block heater or oil pan heater on an M157? My garage is occupied by a partially completed airplane, and we see minus 20 degree F nights during Iowa winters. I've used a combination of oil pan mat heaters and coolant line retrofit heaters in the past, but damn, would it be easier if there was some OEM answer. I can get parts from Europe no problem, so if there's a EU-only solution, just post the part number. Thank you!

Here is an easy answer for you. You don't need one. I have had my previous benz out in the cold at -30 Celsius without the wind chill. With windchill you can see as low as -40 if not lower. Just use 0W40 oil and you will be fine.
I have yet to have an issue. Would be nice to get a block heater, but AMGs do not come up with them, especially the m157.

I would take a Trans warmer over the block heater

I notice on very cold mornings I have to give more gas to get her to move for the first time. I let it roll for about 1/8 miles 2-3 lights and all is good. Even if I let oil temp move a few deg same issue. One coolant is above 50 not issue on first start and roll back.

No issues starting the E63S if parked outside all night in -30C.

The E63 parks inside a heated garage over night.

But my wife takes the E63 to work and parks outside in the Canadian winters where it sits for 8 hrs. Starts all the time without issue.

I would prefer that it had a block heater as I have a block heater in our other vehicles, and it clearly makes for an easier time starting. Additionally, the coolant temps rise quicker, and hot air blows quicker.

I used two 100w heating pads on the bottom of the engine oil pan. Transmission oil pan has one 75w heating pad.

After 9-10 hours the oil is around 70 degrees when outside is 0-10F. When it’s -40F the oil temperature is somewhere around 37F.

I personally would not be starting this car without some kind of oil heater when temperatures are below -10F. .... Cars that run on 0W20 oil are the exception to this rule.
