So I finished up the install this last Friday for the new BC Forged wheels. As a reminder from the other thread, I decided to put new shoes on her after the dealer was nice enough to replace my calipers due to clear coat peeling. So new Wheels, Tires, and Calipers! I did my share of research with other guys on this forum and the experts at BC to obtain a nearly perfect flush fit without issues. After three days of driving on them I have not rubbed anywhere. I had planned to replace the OEM silver lug bolts with OEM black lug bolts, however, the ding dong at the parts counter only gave me a bag of 10 that I didn't notice until at the tire place. So in the pics below black lugs are coming.
Also, I paid $100/wheel extra for machining to have the new wheels accept the stock MB star center caps and the machined in ball seats for the factory lug bolts rather than using aftermarket lugs.
Here are the specifics:
BC Forged EH172 in Brushed Dark Black, 19 inch.
Front: 9-1/2 wide with +35 offset
Rear: 10-1/2 wide with +50 offset
I assume you mean the connection between Alpha and AMS and now I am EC?
Well, if that's what you mean I actually did find some other pretty cool ones available that I can't disclose that are available here in Cali. However, after printing up side-by-sides of all the options including the current plate and running by several friends and co-workers, they mostly preferred the current one. "Alpha" doesn't have to mean the AMS tune. It can mean something like "top dog" 63 too.
Great question and I honestly did look into it. LOL
Nice! Congrats on the new set up!
BC charged you for machining for ball seat lugs? I am pretty sure they didn't charge me extra for that... it was simply an option... or so it was presented to me.
Being that they machined the wheels to accept MB center caps, does that mean they came without center caps (and that BC center caps won't work on them?)

They didn't charge me for the ball seat machining. It was an option as you said. I may have been a bit lazy in my writing of that.
They did come without center caps and the BC caps will no longer work. Correct. This feature was $100/wheel extra and they wouldn't budge. They were borderline rude on the matter actually. LOL
I love a black car but not here in NYC, my white is a PITA.
Thanks man!
Yeah, I spend way too much time keeping her perfect. Just ask my wife. I have been doing my own detailing for about 25 years. You will not see a single swirl in high noon summer sun light!
Thanks again for noticing. Helps make the efforts worth it.

"Borderline rude about it"? WTH?! BTW, I had missed that you typed PER wheel! Hells, NO! lol! The supplied ones look alright enough to me . Attachment 440019
I was never asked/given a choice of center caps. I found out after the fact that there were some raised ones (which I would have gone with, even at an extra cost) And then there were these Attachment 440020 Which I would have loved, but, they are now discontinued. Did you deal with them directly or an "authorized dealer"?

Directly. What I meant by borderline rude was that I tried to get that small charge thrown in for a positive review of their wheels on the forum. I explained that I'm pretty well known and fairly respected (I think, lol) on this site and a review is worth something I would think. They wrote back and said "no breaks in pricing regardless of your standing on that forum". Um, OK.
