Hello all,

quick question. I want to get my E63S Sedan 2014 lowered.
Can somebody please tell me the options?

Thanks

There are two popular options, H&R Springs and lowering links or the KW HAS adjustable kit with lowering links. Links can be subbed for one of the lowering modules you can buy on EBay or Lomo, but they only lower the rear air shocks.

Springs...

Avoid the h and r, use the KW or Renntech kits...all of them ride pretty lousy, but that's just the nature of this car. The h and r will make it way worse. Links are fine in the rear.

There are a number of members here running the H&R springs that would disagree with this assessment.

Perhaps.

But H and R springs just dont mate very well with MB suspensions...way, way too much spring rate. And the durability is simply not there. Frustrating to watch your nose start to sink. And no way to save it.
just my. 02 after many installations on many chassis mb cars..

Thanks for the information. But i can't find the HR Springs for the 63S on their Homepage. Does somebody have a partnumber?
The adjustable KW Springs aren't really cheap but thats maybe the best option.

ive read this opinion since I joined this board and couldn’t disagree more. I’ve found absolutely ZERO degradation in ride quality with the H&R’s compared to stock (which is nothing to write home about to begin with). Unless you care about adjustability...or the H&R height isn’t low enough...I see nothing that justifies the premium that folks pay for KW’s, et al.

But are there really H&R Springs for the E63 4-matic?

P/N 29028-2, that comes with the just the front springs and then you need to source out the links.

Used H&R for about 12 months and moved to KW HAS - night and day difference.
Ride quality cant even be compared. KW all the way :-)

Another reason for avoiding the H and R....

H and R does not have a lot of specific part numbers for Mercedes as they do for some other brands...KW + Renntech know that the facelift cars need a different part #

Also Good to know that someone besides me notices the difference between the H and R and the others, BTW
