Is it possible, and has it happened to anyone? How would you know (aside from less power)?

 

ask for the work order? I’m sure it’ll be listed there if the ecu needed to be recalibrated.

 

Ya it can happen if they do a update. You'd know pretty much right away even if it was not listed on the work order from less power.

 

oh yeah, you can tell with less power.......I have the aftermarket air filter when I took my car in for service, my dealership did an update on my ECU. Before they even did the ECU update, they replace my aftermarket air filter and replace it with a stock one. so I get a free set of stock air filter every time they work on my car. they just put my aftermarket air filter kit in my trunk when I pick up my car.

 

It’s a good idea to let the service department know in advance if you have a tune. I always mention it when I go in.
