14 AMG S Wagon square??

Hello to everyone!
I'll be tracking my car and appreciate a square setup and wondering if anyone else has experience with going this route.

Cheers

No experience. What are you thinking? 275s on all corners?

100% the idea. Was just wanting to glean any wisdom if someone has already done this.

What are you trying to gain here? Less weight? S track or dragstrip?

Or just the ability to rotate tires front to back?

Browse through this thread. This guy went through several wheel/tire set ups and I am pretty sure he went square at one point. GL. https://mbworld.org/forums/w212-amg/...roduction.html

Do you think 265/35-19 would be viable on all corners? Pilot Cup 2 comes in this size.

Does it matter giving up 20mm on the rear with stickier tires?

What other tire options would be good?

Going 275 pirelli p zero's. I'm a advan and nankang fan, but venturing out from my normal track get-up. I'm hitting the track March 15 and will give a review if anyone gives a $.

Are you using stock wheels?
275/30-19 or 275/35-19? Something else?

I appreciate you sharing! 👍

Ordered some HRE R101's with different ET front and rear......We'll see if I got that right . I'll definitely be back to give updates.

And yes, 275/35/19. I'm stock height so should be ok. I could care less with fender liner rubbing.

Yep. The rubbing at the front w/ this tire size will be minimal, but, present at stock ride height. I never heard it or felt it.

Square: Lessons learned, I could've been more aggressive with rears (ET48), but having the even more aggressive fronts (ET32) makes this car mitigate understeer and have awesome turn-in. I've taken the car enthusiastically thru some mountain roads here in Western NC and it's absolutely spot on for the moment. My first track day in the car is March 15 and I'll circle back around and maybe post some video.

Once upon a time I went square on my CTS-V wagon for a hilllclimb; for the sake of rotation and trying to dial out understeer it worked pretty well on aggressive rubber. I probably wouldn’t do it just for street use.
