I mean to be on par with a stock non tcu tuned car something is definitely wrong. I do have a follow up appointment Monday to see what's ups

Will be interesting to see the findings. Following this as I have been keen on this tcu tune however from the research it seems pointless for me as it only raises the torque limits in 1st and 2nd gear so from a dig great, but if already spinning tyres there, then no point to this for me.

Okay so I went back to eurocharged and they reflashed their tcu tune again and now sport+ farts during shifts which it didn't do before, I also did a quick launch and alot more power down low now(can feel it in the Seat) . As you can see the car hit over 1g few times compared to before. Identical Temps to the other day as well.

So 0.1s difference from a stock car to a tcu tuned car.

How are you launching and what settings? Most of us have found brake boosting with traction control off and comfort suspension nets the best results.

I am launching with Trans in S+, traction 100% off and suspension in full stiff, brake boosting to about 1700-1900 rpms. I would think more squat will benefit better traction so i will try comfort.

If you are stock ECU you can increase your launch to around 2500 rpm, there isn't enough torque being generated to worry about. You will see a marked improvement in your 0-60 times.
Of course, once ECU tuned you will want to lower your RPM to the range you are currently launching at.
The consensus seems to be that comfort suspension nets the best results for launch as it helps translate more weight over the rear wheels on launch.

I tried this, no diffrence really over the diffrent modes. Im not really struggling for traction at the moment. Still netting 3.6 even with 2500 launches

yes ... you can't launch harder than 2000-2500; 1500-1750 is the sweet spot; you'll hop and disengage the trans - it'll go to neutral until a restart

New personal best! Car went from a 3.88 down to a 3.5. Had a 3.4 but didn't validate due to slope being greater than 1%

I was having massive wheel hop even with zero brake boosting. Just flooring it instantly and it would hop badly

Could be tries, tire pressure, or worn suspension components - I'd start with the easiest and review/adjust your tire pressure.

Im not sure at this point, but they were.

5Soko is OCONUS at this time so may be slow to respond. have you tried contacting Slav at EC Canada via Instagram or calling the shop?

I do have a TCU and ECU combo quote from EC Canada (they won't just do one and I only want TCU at this point) and Jerry from EC Texas gave me a remote TCU only quote. He's done my ECU before in a previous life and service was great.

I'm trying to nail down WHICH tunes these are. I really only want the EDOK one.

Jerry's is the EC TCU offering, not EDOK. I'm unsure if EC Canada is still offering EDOK but they did in the past, and unsure why they wouldn't do perform the TCU tune alone. Have you tried contacting Slav for answers?

have you done an alignment recently and what's the condition of the tires and which tires?

Not Slav, it is a "Leo" I've been emailing with at EC. I tried. I guess I wait till I find EDOK TCU only tune somewhere else. Or worst case pony up for both. But I'm really interested in wringing out Stock, TCU, Black Boost before messing with the ECU again.

"Both tunes need to be done at the same time, or ecu first and tcu later. TCU alone is not a service we provide.
We haven’t dynod the comparison between different fuels so I don’t have any data on this I'm afraid.
Sorry I can be of more help here, these are instructions from the tuner directly."

and on my second ask:

"I completely understand. However, my tuner (also the owner) is adamant that both tunes are required."

<shrug> it's all good, I just don't want both so I wait.

Slav is the tuner. You can always wait for @5soko to return and coordinate the EDOK TCU tune with him. He is the man responsible for us having access to it to begin with.

It’s not wheel hop. 90% sure. Lived this phenomena many times after my tcu tune. It’s tranny oil sloshing to the rear of the pan and oil filter sucking air. It’s known as “hitting the wall” it leaves a stain in your underwear for sure when it happens.

There has been a fair amount of debate on this. Some claiming that oil was just too low. I can tell you that my oil was checked and topped off. Issue was still there.

Then I purchased the Weistec tranny pan with anti-sloshing baffles and it holds 2 extra quarts. The Wall has been gone since this mod.

For those that don’t know, I am Alpha63 on the Dragy boards. About the hardest launcher out there. 2.71 0-60 , 2.52 with 1 foot roll.

With all that said, I snapped my output shaft in the tranny about 10 days ago. So there’s that! 😂

But I didn’t hit the wall when I did it! 😂
