Engine bay liner is peeling. Did 2012 have hood liner?

Engine bay liner is peeling.
I have a 2012 E63. The driver's side air intake duct hose fell apart. (Strips of the hose had been sucked deep into the intake.) While taking it out to order a new one, I noticed the liner of the engine bay is peeling all over. Is there anything to do about this? Any known techniques or adhesive that resists heat and will hold the liner back flat against the metal?
I was also surprised there is no hood liner. I might order a third-party one. Did the car have one originally? If mine is missing it could mean an unreported accident. The Carfax didn't disclose any.

There shall be a hood liner. The deterioration is basically heat + humidity applied to the material over time. By the way, it is not just the liner that breaks up - most plastic components in the bay become brittle and fail. All the reservoirs, fittings, harness connectors, intake tubes, etc. One sure way to address the issue is to reduce heat in the engine bay. I believe that turbo blankets do the trick $200-300. I have seen some insane engine bay temp reductions claimed. Even if it drops half of what they advertise, it is a great reduction. The turbos are liquid-cooled, and so this shall have minimum impact on their efficiency and/or longevity. Maybe someone here can chime in with more detail and first-hand experience.
I think your liners are irreparable and shall be replaced if you want them restored. Here is the parts list, but you shall validate:

Thank you! Turns out I do have a hood liner, it's just much smaller than the big padded one I was used to seeing in my Lexus.
I will check out those part numbers. The metal shielding is all in place. The fabric lining is the part that is peeling. It doesn't appear to interfere with any engine functions, it just looks bad. I'll post a pic later.
