EC ATX nets W212 stock turbo record - 10.1 @ 136
While most tuners are out there videotaping doing donuts in the street, or shooting flames out tailpipes, this little old performance shop in Austin Texas is quietly going about its business by making the W212 platform perform to the levels we all thought were possible, but didn't expect we'd ever see.
They didn't do it alone obviously, but the collaborative tuning efforts of Slav from EC Canada as well as from other industry members has netted EC ATX with the stock turbo record for the W212 platform by netting a 10.1 at a blistering 136 mph in the quarter mile.
In street trim the car made a 10.2 at 135 mph. Already a record, they decided to go whole hog and remove the front seats and added a bay tank for an "all in" pass to see what she could do.....
This car, as driven, for the record breaking pass consisted of...
EC Canada E70 Tune
TCU Tune
LP and HPFP's
Stock Turbos
Stock Intake
Stock Filters
One step colder NGK plugs
De Catted stock downpipes and exhaust
Muffler delete
ECE Engine Mounts
*Temporary "Bay Tank".. ask David what that is.... lol
*Front Seat delete
*Carbon Fiber drivers seat
MT Streets in 305 width on TSW Nurburgring 18" rims in the back
Bridgestone RE701's on TSW Nurburbring 19" rims in front.
*not part of normal street trim.
As important as the above... they drove the cars 5 hours round trip to make the passes at Ennis Motorsport Park outside Dallas.
Proof is in the pudding as they say...
And the video...
Note the DA of almost 1200. We expect great things out of this car when it turns cooler...
Here are the guys on the road returning victorious...

While individual component tunes are impressive and have their place, we mentioned the possibility of an integrated tune. It would be good to learn more about the engineering and philosophy. To what extent do the components interact?
I believe Brett mentioned about this project and Spool Performance products last month. This sounds like the result of that same collaboration. I am keeping an eye on Spool, and noted 2 recent M157 product announcements: the Ethanol sensor kit and the FX-150 fuel pumps. They are not cheap, but appear to be needed to guarantee adequate Ethanol supply at the target level of performance. I am not familiar with the FX-150, but they appear to be a drop-in mechanical upgrade. Wonder if the Ethanol sensor plays any role besides aiding the operator with the fuel blend.
Exciting work and impressive result.

Complete Tire size
Hey can I please get the exact tire size used for the rear drag radial. I’m assuming the front is stock tire size, would one size up be okay as the car is 4matic thanks in advance.

The Car is shod in TSW Nurburbring Rims in Matte Gray…
The front rim/tire combo is spec’d as follows…
Tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R in 265/35R19
Rims are TSW Nurburgring 19x8.5 w/ 32 offset
The rear rim/tire combo is spec’d as follows…
Tires are Mickey Thompson Street SS in 305/35R18
Rims are TSW Nurburgring 18x9.5 w/ 53 offset
The car is stanced perfect with zero poke or rubbing… the car is driven daily with this configuration. No concerns regarding tire diameter etc...

The 10.2@135 in street trim is much more meaningful to me than a 10.1@136 while missing a seat, requiring ice, etc.

Do you have a ethanol fuel tune first off... its solely a users forum.
I must warn you though, there are a bunch on enablers in the group....
If so, PM me your contact details (name/cell number) and be sure to have a whatsapp account and I'll add you.
Simple as that.

I don't know about the cool part, but it's a great resource for the e tune users to share information and have unfiltered conversations.
Like I said though... there's a bunch of enablers in our group so be fore warned...

I dont want to clutter the thread, but I'm super interested in learning more about the suspension setup for that wheel/tire combo, feel free to PM me....I'll just be checking out TSW wheels in the meantime xD
