Homelink on mirror - no lights at all - 2012 e63
Seems my homelink is D-E-A-D
The drivers side map light works fine, passenger does not, neither does the homelink system.
Any ideas? Is this just a lost cause?

Check fuses. Use a metal ruler or sturdy flat object at the rear edge (pano) to open the overhead lamps cluster. Examine and reseat connectors from the mirror, check wires for damage. If someone messed in there to install/uninstall a dashcam or some other work, it may be the cause. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Took out the overhead console and the inside rear view mirror.
It would seem I'm getting power to the mirror but the homelink still does not work. Additionally, the passenger side map light does not seem to illuminate and I cannot find which lead supplies the power to that light. The drivers side map light works and I found that is supplied by pin 5 (3rd from lock, top row) on the 7 pin connector to the mirror.

It may be time to look for the mirror replacement (on eBay, etc.) if the functions are truly important to restore. Used prices on eBay are $25-100, but it depends on color, options, and condition. Otherwise, and to be pragmatic, a basic garage clicker may be all you need. You can get the mirror part number from any dealer based on your VIN. My mirror is A2048104217 7E94 (color code 7E94 for Alpaca Gray). Yours is black, and so it is widely available.
