Offset questions for aftermarket wheels (another wheel thread!)
Hey all,
I've done a lot of research on fitment and measuring on my own car, but haven't really found much info on the exact wheel setup I'm looking at. I'm looking at buying a set of Vossen HF-3s for my 2011 E63, I wanted to check if anyone was running a similar setup and knew if this would fit.
(Front Wheel) 19x9.5 - 5x112 +35
(Front Tire) 255/35R19 or 265/35R19
(Should I maybe go 19x9 here and keep the same tire size?)
(Rear Wheel) 19x10.5 - 5x112 +50
(Rear Tire) 295/30R19
If anyone is running the same or a similar offset, or has experience here, please let me know. I'm looking for a fitment that sits a tad further out without clearance issues.

Wheel Calculator (Rear)
Thanks!

The Front will fit without issues w/ 255/35 on a 9.5 +35. Someone reported minor occasional rubbing with 265 on 9.5 +35 wheel at stock height. The rear should be fine. I run 305 on 10.5 +49 and I am lowered (no rubbing). If you have strut side clearance issues, you can always throw a 2-3mm spacer on there.

I too have been pondering about doing these sizes... If I were, I'd stick to 9.5 front and 255/30's... 19's or 20's (just drop tire profile by 5)... offset I'd drop to 32. Rear... 11 wide +46 and a 295/30.

I just installed 20x9.5 with a 265/35 and 20x10.5 with 305/30. No rub, and I am going to be lowering the car here in a couple weeks or so. You will notice a difference in ride feel with a shorter sidewall. I wanted a similar diameter to the OEM 19's in order to keep the wheel wells filled out nicely so I went shorter. It doesn't bother me but if you're worried about comfort you're going to want more sidewall.
Talk to the wheel manufacturer before you purchase and they should be able to give you their notes on offsets, just for peace of mind, especially if you're going to wait to fit a 10.5 in the back which is a bit of a tight fit by the suspension.

Beautiful stance. I can almost say it's a bit too low for me and my surroundings. I am stil blown away by the fact that 20x10 +35 fit in the front... good job, man!
Should take this opportunity and point out to those who are actually looking to go more aggressive that tire size is also a factor to be considered depending on desired ride height. I couldn't possibly go as low as SAMzE63s rear... My wheel/tire setup would rub the fender arches... maybe I am allowing too much clearance on the strut side?

and absolutely! Tire size is just as important as the wheel width and offset.

19's or 20's new wheels require new driving habits ^^^

In all the years I have been in car forums and played around with various wheel/tire combos outside of stock parameters... I have yet to come across ANYONE who'd said their local roads are great and that "low profile tires" would work greatly... we must live in a country w/ public roadways in shambles, LOL!

^^^THIS!!!!! all day any day.
Everyone complains about the roads where they live, however I'm sure we're in the same place. I live in Alberta Canada and with how cold it gets here in the winter (-45 to -50) the roads are horrible in the summer time.
But just drive like you're drunk while you're sober and you'll make it out alive.

Also, any rubbing up front with your setup? I figure you're probably running a larger amount of negative camber up there to mitigate any if there was any rubbing.
Thanks!
