Spark plug choice

Hey everyone, so in the next couple of days my e63s should be arriving soon via transport. It's bone stock down to the air filter. That being said car only has 15k on odometer. I will be throwing a ecu and tcu tune on it and would like to get the maintenance out of the way. The 20k service has been completely done already per carfax report. I will change the oil to liquid moly 5w40 when it arrives. Rear diff fluid was replaced at 1000 miles as well per report. Should I do spark plugs as well, and if so do I go with 1 step colder plugs or are oem replacements fine (I'm aware about indexing /trq to spec).

Plugs on a car with 15k miles sounds like a waste, to be honest.

That was my thought as well, but I like to be prepared for stuff like this

Stick to oem and oem gap, unless your tuned and your tuner tells you otherwise. Congrats and welcome. Changing plugs out is always a good idea, esp since the 14 and 15 model years have the old model plugs from the factory no longer used and were updated to a better constructed plug.

Good idea to get OEM plugs and OEM gap before your tunes even at 15k miles and also make sure they are expertly indexed

I ended up purchasing a digital torque wrench specifically for this vehicle so I can change plugs myself. I have about 10yrs of automotive mechanical experience under my belt, but amg is my first high end vehicle il be working on.
