I sold my 2012 E63 AMG wagon three years ago and it was 155k miles. So just wondering how reliable these things are once they accumulate some miles. In my situation, a lot of the plastic under the hood were getting brittle.

I have over 120k on my very modified M278. bought it at 92k. have about 12k miles @ approx 565-575hp(crank), and the other 7k miles at approx 665-675hp. I have replaced a front driveshaft due to a bad u-joint and done just regular maintenance so far. It does need all the plastic water/oil lines on the motor replaced, but(finger's crossed/knock-on-wood) no leaks yet.

Good question - I have been wondering the same thing. When I was searching to buy my car (2014 with 35k miles at the time I bought it), there were a bunch in the 80-90k mile range. I think I only saw one for sale above 100k.
Generally speaking, the big three brands have their reputations:
(1) Audi techno-geek car that your motor will blow (luckily I never experienced that on my Audis)
(2) BMW most sports-oriented and you will have electrical gremlins at higher mileage that you can't solve
(3) Merc most luxe and will never break, but you'll pay a ton in maintenance along the way.
Looking at the older platforms, W210s and W211 AMGs are being advertised for sale with 100K+, even some 200k+ mile cars.
Would be cool to hear from a forum member approaching those numbers!

I'm currently at 89k miles on my 2014 E63s. Bought it 2 years ago with 60k. Have only needed to do normal maintenance. Front brakes replaced late last year. Rear brakes done last week. Will be doing motor mounts and plugs when I go FBO in the next month or 2. Car has been my daily since purchase. I plan on keeping it well over 100k but will purchase a beater this summer.
