Suspension Malfunction...cold weather

Need some advice or help. I’ve had an intermittent suspension malfunction message for last 1.5 years that only comes up in very cold weather. It’s a 2014 E63 with 73km on it. Today I got it and the suspension is not coming up to normal ride height. I read somewhere that there was a wire in the back that could become corroded and repaired. I’m headed over to have the diagnostic run shortly. Any thoughts or advice?

Update...

So took it to the shop. They said I need to bring it back but it’s definitely leaking. What’s interesting is the compressor is raising it up but if the car sits it loses about an inch of height in three hours. The cold weather -10C seems to have exacerbated it. I’ve often heard little hiss noises even when it’s not running from the rear. Technician said that’s the load levelling working excessively. They said maybe it’s a compressor or hose but need to get it onto the hoist. Has this happened to anybody else!

Maybe water/condensation in the lines freezing?

I think you need to find out what the leak is .... is the compressor bad ? leaking shock ? that way you know what to fix because its not normal...Mine Turns out the air is leaking from the compressor and the filter on top of the compressor .. So I'll have to pay labor with that to have the replacement put on. tsk.

The seals usually shrink when cold and leakage occurs. Hopefully that’s it.
