Welcome to the forum. Mercedes does not sell replacement buttons. Your best bet is to find a used head unit (even faulty as a donor):
.
  1. Control Unit, Operating Unit, Heater and Air Conditioner, p/n A2129006727 (replaced A2129000328, A2129003014, A2129003900, A2129004300, A2129004725, A2129004807, A2129005218, A2129006102, A2129007604, A2129008808, A2129008911, A2129009309), $390 new
  2. Control Unit, Head Unit NTG5/NTG5.5, p/n A2129007527 (replaced A2129002222, A2129003723, A2129005625, A2129006723, A2129006726, A2129007426, A2129007525, A2129009224), $2750 new
For the temp control, all you need is a chrome strip it seems. Perhaps, you can find a suitable piece elsewhere and glue to size if this is your thing. Otherwise an entire panel replacement.

I do not have experience with NTG5, but rebuilt NTG2.5 several years ago. The front panel is easily replaceable once the unit is removed. Like I said, a donor unit even inoperable can likely be used to swap the worn-out front control plate. Recommend searching other forums for NTG5 button replacement advice. I bet there are discussions about worn-out buttons. Good luck.
