ARRGHH stripped coil torx bolt, with a twist

Of course it was the very last bolt that stripped on me

The hardest-to-reach ignition coil torx bolt on the rear passenger side cylinder (#4 cylinder?) stripped out. I made the mistake of trying to brake it loose with a 1/4" 12-pt socket on a 1/4 drive before switching to a 6-pt socket, but by then it was too late anyway. A proper E8 socket doesn't fit on it now.

Just tried my rotary/Dremel tool with a 1 1/4 cutoff wheel to slice the bolt head off, but not enough space to cut without tearing into the heat shielding.

Short of sacrificing the coil pack itself by destroying it so I can get to the bolt, do I have any other options?

Thanks all

Just get a new coilpack...cut off the bolt head

or Dremel a straight line like a flat head .. then use screwdriver

I’m going to have to cut off the head. There’s no room to get dremel a notch into the head given it’s the bolt closest to the firewall underneath the coil pack.

I bought of these. Great for tighter spaces that dont require as much torque to tighten/loosen

I did the same thing. I managed to get the bolt out but now can’t find a replacement. Any suggestions to link to the part?

Thanks
