Hi guys. Looking at this intake for a W216 CL63AMG with the M157 motor, however their website (blackboost) does not include the W216 series as fitment, only the E and CLS class. I emailed them but have yet to receive a response. Anyone here know if this intake would fit the CL series with same engine here? Thanks

The engine bays are slightly different for some models, which affects the box fitment. My car (m157 SL63) also does not have a blackboost intake available, due to the box. Like any business, they have to assume there are going to be enough sales made to justify the expense & opportunity cost of development time.

If you're interested in it without the box, you should reach out again and see if they will sell you one without the box. Some people who purchased it took the box off, and from what I understand there wasn't really any performance degradation seen (vs. with the box). I think the box around it looks really nice though.

Hello there,

we will have an intake for the SL63 M157 available. Its not just the intake that is different it also needs a different shape of an filter.

G63 AMG M157
SL63 AMG M157

Hello there,

unfortunately we have not been able to get an CL63 AMG M157 in to develop the intake boxes for it and fit the filters to see if cleareance are the same or not. As I mention in the comment before, e.g. G63 AMG M157 and SL63 AMG M157 require different filters too.

I have the BB Intakes and they're fantastic, worth every penny from a performance perspective and ease of installation (you can do it your self - and YES you will notice the performance benefits within the first 2-4 weeks of driving the car and allowing the ECU to adapt.

I agree with you that the aesthetics of the kit arent as pretty as the AMS carbon, but they are 1/3 the price and (in my opinion) probably double the performance benefit. Plus Jose at BB provides amazing service so if you buy one of these he will be there to help you get it installed properly.
thank you for the honest review and as always we are here to help before and after.
