100k miles - worth buying?
Hi all, what are yalls experience on vehicle longevity? I saw a 2015 E63 s-model with over 100k miles selling for $50k and it got me thinking how much more life the car might have / how much it is really worth? Inputs welcome

Not talking about price - I haven't paid attention to the market for E63s since I bought. For life left, it will depend on the condition of the car - has it been wrecked, maintained, etc.? MB products have been known to go multiple 100s of thousands of miles. There was the 1,000,000+ mile Benz at Amelia Island Concours this year. If it's been well maintained and not wrecked, it will have a long life. There will be maintenance and repair costs, of course, but that comes with any higher mileage car.

OP, I'll be rolling 100K miles in the next month. This is my daily and it is meticulously maintained. It is without a doubt the best car I've ever owned.
The thought of the high miles doesn't bother me too much because I've replaced the majority of the items that need replacing to get to this point.
We all get the itch to buy something new, but there is nothing out there in the price point that I've found that encompasses everything I want in a car... understated performance wrapped in an executive saloon.
The M5 Competitions glass jaw worries me, and the only thing new that entices me is the GT63, but they are holding their value very well.
I plan on driving this car into the dirt... and driving it hard. Hopefully I get another 100K out of her before that day comes.

There was a very similar question and thread earlier this year you may want to check out. My position is still the same.

Even still, I bought my '14 wagon for $48k with 75k on it two years ago. I overpaid, but the car was pristine and was the right combo of colors.
There are wagons selling for mid $40s with half the miles in the past year.
There are sedans selling for high 30s, low $40sk with half the miles.
Keep looking, you'll find better deals out there.
