Adjusting Parking Brake

Hello all,

I recently changed the rear brake pads on my 2014 E63 and wanted to adjust the parking brake, but couldn't figure it out. Does anyone have experience/ advice on how to do it properly?

I tried to follow this procedure, but had a hard time finding the adjustment wheel. Does the rotor need to be removed to access it?

Perhaps the answer is here. I'll be putting mine up on my lift to finish other maintenance and I'll take a look.

Yea seems like its behind the rotors. I dont recall seeing that grommet with the access hole to the adjustment wheel. Our model might be different where the entire rotor needs to come off. Just guessing.

I just looked at all docs related to anything on the rear wheels. Even the procedure for removing the parking brake indicates you need to take of the disk. Another doc indicates you need to remove the caliper to remove the disk.. duh. I have a feeling the adjuster may be behind/underneath the caliper.

Regards,

Joe
