2014 e63 turbo problem
HI guys i own a 2014 e 63 amg 4matic and my car has a fresh k&N filter + downpipes + remap + colder 8 spark plugs and the problem is this :
boost pressure goes to 1,2 bar and then drops to 0.7 bar at wot, the shop test for leaks and no leaks ,they test the N74 and is ok also , than they remove the tune hook back the oem map and boost goes to 0,7 bar and maintain 0.6 bar at wot, they suspect is the turbos.
i own a AUTEC diagnostic tool and it keep given me the P029909 stored THE BOOST PRESURE OF TURBOCHARGER 1 IS TOO LOW. THERE IS A COMPONENT FAULT
CAN any one help ,e solve this matter
And TURBO 1 is the driver or passanger side

Need to log the car parameters and see what the wastegate duty cycles look like. If it's commanding them fully closed and still not making boost, then test and confirm what exactly is failing, the turbo itself, or the wastegate, or the bypass valves.

Just dealt with this code myself. Seems like the boost pressure solenoid & vac hoses running to it are the more common culprits. It however didn't fix my underboost code. I had an issue with one of the wastegate linkage arms. They are kind of tough to access.
Dealer was able to fix the linkage. They also told me they have been seeing some of the vacuum pumps leak & pull oil through the vac lines and into the wastegates. Luckily I didn't have that issue
