Ya mine comes on the dash too. It’s weird though when it’s not on the cars working perfectly but once it comes on the car starts to feel a bit slower and almost like the air flow isn’t as good. That’s the reason to the misfire I think when I had the CEL. They told me they’re sending me the extension harness but I’m still waiting on that.
I get the CEL on the dash as well. Again, doesnt happen under wot. Always moderate throttle (maybe 50-70%) in 1st or 2nd gear. I received a second extension harness and it did not help

Had a little free time and pulled my sensors, and found them dirty inside (surprise, surprise). A quick cleaning with a qtip and a dash of rubbing alcohol, and next day the car drove perfect without a cel in sight. Maybe this will last, maybe it won't. I'll play more when it warms up and see. The pic was after a dry swap of one of the dirty sensors.
Do you guys think a tune could help fix this CEL issue? Also Wanted can you upload the pictures if you have any? I will look into that also and try to see what parts to clean. Thank you.

I'll tell you that shortly after installing black boost I got the ams 100 dyno tune and also re dyno tuned my ams 93. Also EC tuned my e40
tune knowing that I had also just installed the bb.
no CEL

So I finally got the new sensor extension thing for driver side. It didn’t help I got check engine light again. I also tried to clean my intake sensor area like wanted did but that also didn’t help with anything for me. Anyone else find a fix fo theirs because for rn all I’ve done is constantly erase it when it comes on.
I contacted them they said to cut the zip tie off the wires to extend the wires to put the oem sensor onto the blackboost box so ima try that soon because even with that new harness it still comes up. And if that doesn’t work too I’ll tune it but they say the connecting rods can brake when tuned I’m not too sure though.
I ran the blackboost intakes on the stock tune for over a month and never threw a cel for anything. So your issue is a sensor or incorrect install
Unless you scanned with xentry or a deep obd2 canbus scanner, you wouldn't know. Typically the error will not show up on the dash or a standard obd2 scanner.
you really can't mess up the install , my child could plug that sensor in correctly without help lol

I mean if I was a serious code it would throw a light on the dash right.

That's mostly false, The primary purpose of obd2 is to notify you of emissions related failures. There are 1000s of codes from minor to catastrophic that can be triggered without a cel.
now, is this code minor? Did the Mercedes engineers code this to pull timing, or boost when it's triggered? No idea.
So I tried connecting the original sensor by cutting the zip ties to the box of wires under the ecu and I am not getting this code anymore. But when in WOT the car misfires. The thing is all the coils and spark plugs were changed right before installing the intakes. Do you guys have any idea as to why that is? I am not to sure on what can cause it and it only happens when I floor the car and the gear changes it misfires. Sometimes it is right at the first gear shift or after a 1-2 gear shifts. I am gonna try cleaning the injectors with the additive things and hopefully it is just that. If anyone else has an idea to what can cause that please let me know. Thank you guys.

Coming through this thread again, I just noticed the nice Evo in the background. Loved those cars!
Has this issue been resolved? I got this code once maybe a month and a half ago. Hasn’t came on till last night I assume(haven’t scanned yet) car drives fine and feels fine as it did the first time the code popped up so im assuming it’s going to be the same code. Now for me when this code came on it triggered a CEL but drove fine to my knowledge, didn’t feel any power loss or anything. CEL is solid & not blinking. I believe it could be due to me having one harness extension for one side only? Not sure. I will say it’s not fun looking at that orange thing in the morning 😡
My car throws these codes as well... right after black boost install. P1CE8 and P1CE7 (also P1CE800 /P1CE700 ) ones for left, ones for the right (Crankcase ventilation in wide open throttle operation (cylinder bank 1/2) has a malfunction
Its not a leak, its poor design on blackboost. It wont trip a CEL, but its registered in the back ground, likely on all BB equipped cars.
i figured this problem out a while back . I tried telling and informing people but unfortunately even after all the accurate information I've shared there's always that doubt lol . The issue is the pcv system is not seeing the same vaccum as before. The reason is the filter on the bb is now the easiest source of air woth least resistance. The pvc system has a check valve that operates during wide open throttle and because it's no longer seeing the same vac it won't open. This cause a bunch of issues .excessive pressure in the crank case. Dumps oil into your intake through the small hose in the back because the pressure is forced to escape that way bringing a bunch of oil. I bet anyone who has that code or atleast most will have a wet intake manifold inside coated with oil. I have been designing new high flow intakes for the past 2 years out of request for a friend that turned into a legit system that will Eliminate any code issue.
I definitely am not saying the bb product is bad. That's not my intention. As I am a bb guy with a built engine . And I'm friends with tasos . It's something no one would have known to be an issue unless it ran its course. And I don't think it happens to everyone. It's possible that's it's tune dependent. On some you don't see the code and some you do. But I've seen the code more often then not.
Interesting, it’s probably one of those things where just clear the CEL move on till it comes up again. Intakes perform fantastically so I guess I’d sacrifice it but for the price point you’d think there would be no issue. I’m currently tuned with DME maybe could be another reason but not sure.
