I went frozen lake ice racing with the Central Wisconsin Sports Car Club on Lake Dubay Wisconsin. First time doing this kind of thing on ice and while I wasn't even close to putting up competitive times it was really fun! Car is a 2011 with 85k and it made the 500mi trip plus 9 runs without issue. I ran on 255/35/19 the Michelin Alpin PA4 and there was relatively surprising grip after the studded cars roughed up the ice. For reference the studded cars were running in the 50-60second range and my best was 98 lol. It was a great experience to be able to feel the car's balance and practice tail out throttle control in an environment where it's pretty low risk if you make a mistake. I did spin a couple times and once plowed a snow bank (RIP lower grill insert). There was one other MB there, a GLA45, and he looked to be running pretty quick times.
