2015 E63S Trade
Hi all,
New to this thread and nice to meet you all.
I currently own a 19 CLA45 (13200mi) but was thinking of trading it in for a 15 E63s (30,000mi).
I would be adding about $8-10k on top based on the offer.
I've always wanted a V8 and know MB will no longer produce the V8 but would this be decent deal?
Any insights about the E63 or this deal would be much appreciated!
Thank you and stay safe!

Def do that. You will find the E63 to be a much more useful car.
Much more comfortable in Comfort and almost at eager in Sport.
Much more torque and ability to dial up speed in a heartbeat.

Moved up from a C350 to the E63S and I love every minute of it. There isn't a time that have not gotten out of my car without a giant smile on my face. You'll be so much more comfortable in the E too, it's monumentally bigger than the C's are and 2 grown men can sit in the front seats and not touch shoulders. lol Just be aware, it's an AMG- everything is more expensive. Service, parts, etc., gas milage too, I went from 21-22 in my 350 to 17 in the 63. But hey, if you were that concerned with fuel economy, you'd buy a Prius. NOTHING compares to that beefy V8 when you put your foot in it and the turbos spool up- Makes you feel like your 15 and driving your dad's car for the first time again, every time.

There are about 4 or 5 of these 2015's on AT, (between 26k and 35k miles) one is clearly heavily modified ... front carbon splitters and custom rims and all...
Another seems shady ... the rest worth inspecting.. all
around $60-65k

C = cruising around wanting no excitement. Still will hustle if you floor it.
S = where I enjoy driving most of the time. If you need a faster downshift just manual shift with the paddle.
S+ = only when stomping on it as I don't care for the car holding gears when still driving in traffic but want to step on it. Upshifting with the paddles is what I do to deal with the hanging. The downshifts are fun

Driving to work / commuting / highway cruising / ripping it on a winding road ---> it does it all in comfort. Makes for an AMAZING winter car

I am not a fan of the transmission, or the delay in response from the transmission when using the paddles, or the speed of the shifts. Compared to the PDK transmission in the Porsche the transmission in the E36s definitely lacks.

I've got a 2006 E55 with 73k on the clock. Was thinking about the W212 E63, looks so good and I know it's much faster stock v stock. I just love the violent driving characteristics of the E55, it's a monster!

I would just hold that then. If you "need" an E63, add it to the stable, as opposed to replacing. I have a friend who liked that violent nature over the E63 and missed it when changing to the E63.

Thanks for your input. Might just have to keep it then. One of the most reliable engines Benz has ever produced!

While that was listed as for only 2022, I can't help but wonder if they aren't finished with V8s period. They've already said no more ICE cars beginning 2030. Hmm...
(Either way, any V8 AMG is a "keeper" now...)
