Alignment/tyre wear question
My front tyres were both almost delaminated on the inner edges so I got new tyres and a hunter alignment. Am I right in thinking the geo they have used in not correct for the E63 but for a standard W212?

My fronts also do that. I have to frequently visually inspect them.
I just thought our cars wear that way.
Sorry I can’t comment on the alignment specs, I’m not sure what they should be.
But these are my tires if I jet them go too long:

This is my alignment report. Done ~5yrs ago. ~6K driven. Mileage shared between 2 sets of wheels and tires.
As I told I.T. GUY earlier... I dun understand TOE in terms of how what values help your car turn/track which way. However, someone who does alignments professionally SHOULD know what to set TOE to so that your tires don't get destroyed in one weekend.
PS: My tires look perfectly normal even at -2.5° of camber.

@nastypoker
What air pressure are you running up front?
Anything less than recommended will contribute to accelerated wear on both the E63 and my previous C63.
Running recommended air pressure they are wearing pretty even. Although I hate how rough the front feels at that high a pressure.

@I.T. Guy That's insane. The rest of the tire looks almost brand new. That's not normal for any street car!

I run my fronts at 46psi, just passed 12k on fronts and have about 75% life left on the pirelli tires.. No outside or inner wear at all. To my knowledge im on factory alighment specs

If you run lower you will definitely have accelerated wear, which I myself found out.
Running the recommended pressures results in even wear for me (both on winter and summer tires).
As stated, the ride is much 'softer' at lower psi, but the issues with wear disappeared for me at the recommended settings.

This is the inside of my fuel cap.
I never go over 155mph so 40psi is actually over the maximum for heavy load and I am rarely with more than 1 other person in the car!
Is the speed to do with the tyre type and because I have 186mph rated tyres, I need to inflate more?

I think that higher pressures help with reducing sidewall flex and therefore heat build up in the tire. The flexing tire carcass generates temperature due to internal friction and at high speeds high loads are generated. The excess temperature could cause tire failure. We forget what these tires are going through hauling heavy, powerful cars around with our fat ..... in them.
I recall an anecdote about the Bugatti Veyron. At top speed it was a race on which would last longer, the fuel or the tires. Both about 15 minutes.

Best combo since our cars are rwd biased and when they hear up the pressures will Increase about 2-3psi so you will be right there within specs

I had the exact same issue as the OP. I purchased my 2014 in January, but developed an 85MPH vibration, so took it in to diagnose. My front tires were on the cords on the inside of both front wheels. So I took the opportunity to take off the horrific Continental runflats and put on some Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (my favorite tire). Also got a four wheel alignment, and the result is attached. Needless to say, the vibration is gone and the ride and handling are substantially better!

I'm surprised the rear PSI is lower than front. I've been running 46 front and 50 rear on E63s prolly cuz I assumed the rear needed higher. Must have been getting PSI mixed-up cuz my GLE63s with 295 all around uses higher psi in rear. My E55 AMG with 245 front and 275 rear uses more in the back.
