So after being on the hunt for oil in harness, cpm's, magnet switches and other connectors, I found oil saturation around the hose fitting of the (I believe) the vacuum pump.
I took the hose off on both ends but luckily no oil inside. I think I'll check on the pcv valve next to ensure I don't have excessive crank case pressure.
I had the same issue before. The plunger on the vacuum fails and sadly you have to replace the entire pump from Mercedes’ which is very stupid.
i was able to find the plunger alone on eBay. Let me know if you want the link. This is how many looked once I took it off.
i added a touch of grey rtv as a temporary fix until the new plunger arrived.
Yeah , some have had the boost solenoid etc get oil inside from the faulty vacuum pump check valve. I'm looking into doing the pcv valve as well preventatively - haven't dug too far into its location but some mentioned removing one of cats to access it.

did the car have any engine codes or run bad? The dealership recommended to change the vacuum pump due oil inside/insufficient. But I later took it to a local Indy and he said it’s fine so I never replaced it.

My car doesn’t have any codes and runs normal.
i had zero codes and zero issues. I was installing my meth kit and noticed oil in the line when I took my boost controller off. That’s all
is this pretty easy to swap out from above the engine? How many minutes/beers needed to do the job?
its very easy, 15-20 minutes max. Make sure you insert a few microfiber towels between the engine and the firewall to catch the screw or the screwdriver bit incase it falls down.
side note, before you pull on the vacuum hose trying to get it off, use a flat head screw driver and pry it off to break it loose.
