@PeterUbers - nope it’s never thrown a code and MB dealer for 2 years (while still under warranty) said it’s normal and they couldn’t recreate the issue.
I’m gonna pull my cam sensors and see if there’s oil on those as I was getting the sputtering start about every third or fourth time before changing the sensors, and it went away for about six months and just started again.
wonder if there is oil on the sensors if that likely is the cause of the sputtering start.

interesting, I thought these wouldn’t fit.

They only fit the magnets which are less likely to be a big leaker (it seems like the sensors on top are more problematic), but I installed them on both of my M157s because the magnets are much more annoying to replace vs the one bolt per sensor on the others. Cheap insurance!

So it's confirmed these harnesses work for magnets and cps? I'm about to buy 8 of them

Are there any initial steps required BEFORE camshaft position sensors harness is disconnected? Like "putting" car's electronics to "sleep" via locking the car (with hood already raised) then observe some wait time period or disconnecting battery's negative cable? Or is it just as simple as an oil change with just the engine off and nothing else is required? TIA

Getting ready to check and replace any sensors and solenoids that need replacing. Cam sensors at FCP Euro ( genuine - $51 ) vs Bosch (OEM - $24) so is it worth paying for life time replacement for twice the amount?
Is Bosch brand OK if I do decide to go that way where I only put 3-4K miles/year?
Thanks
