A) 07-09 "W211 E63" uses 6-pot calipers with "2-piece" (360x36) front Rotors, p/n: "2194210212"
and 4-pot calipers with ordinary "1-piece" (330x26) rear Rotors, p/n: "2114231112".

B) 10-12 "W212 E63" uses 6-pot calipers with "2-piece" (360x36) front Rotors, p/n: "2194210212"
and 4-pot calipers with ordinary "1-piece" (360x26) rear Rotors, p/n: "2124230412".

C) 12-16 "W212 E63" uses 6-pot calipers with "1.5-piece" (360x36) front Rotors, p/n: "2124210512"
and 4-pot calipers with ordinary "1-piece" (360x26) rear Rotors, p/n: "2124230412".

* that E-bay link for aftermarket upgrade big Rotors, or for direct fitment of CCB's..

Except the spacer option isn't any less safe than a bracket that sets the caliper out 15mm. Plus the brackets are $200 more than getting spacers made.

The only real drawback is, installation. The bracket wouldn't require sliding the spacer between the caliper/bracket while feeding the bolt thru -- which is a minor inconvenience but the only real downside and that if someone were to get the brakes serviced at a shop, some brake tech may not realise the spacer is involved.
